Ofsted recently published the second in a series of three research reviews, entitled the ‘Best start in life’, and focused on the early years curriculum. The reviews run alongside a series of curriculum research reviews published by the inspectorate for the National Curriculum subjects. This second early years review focuses on the prime areas within the Statutory Framework. Sue Cowley explains more.
