While the early years sector has missed out on a slice of the Government’s £1bn ‘catch-up’ funding package for schools, young children have the opportunity to benefit from a programme of EYFS daily activities, provided by EYFSHome.
The website was established in March, at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic by teachers and early years experts and is aimed at families home-educating and all those looking after three-to-five-year-olds and their siblings.
Each daily activity comes with a video demonstrating practice in action.
- Four-to-ten-year-olds most at risk of emotional difficulties in lockdown
- Schools asked for more guidance as all children asked to return in September
As well as timetabled daily activities led by teachers, storytellers, celebrities and artists, the site also offers links to support and advice for parents, and a social media community to share ideas on home schooling and the work produced by the children in the community.
