This issue of Early Years Educator magazine is a very important one due to quite a big change. As we say goodbye to the acquired supplement of Practical Pre-School, we welcome the brand new, EYE's very own created Practice Insight: Provocations for learning from across the sector. This eight-page supplement aims to provide a window into the practice of settings and individual practitioners, giving a platform for sharing a range of voices from across the early years sector. Practice Insight will be championed by Adam Marycz, who is a practitioner himself. Each month Adam will be bringing you the sector focused supplement, featuring:

  • Early years community corner – sharing some of the most talked about and topical online and social media posts from across the sector.
  • A play experience case study – focusing on an awe-inspiring piece of practice which provides children with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and skills.
  • Author spotlight and student spotlight– providing the space for people within early years to share their passion, knowledge and experience through the power of their own voice.
  • Working with families – providing either an exciting and high quality learning experience or offering thought provoking and practical advice.

Practice Insight is a new, and another, opportunity for the sector to be involved in sharing practice. The EYE magazine itself actively encourages this, but the new supplement will be all about sharing practical, actionable play ideas and tried and tested ways of supporting families, thought-provoking conversations on social media, insight from authors, and experiences from students; the future early years practitioners. So do get in touch with Adam on this new section (adam.marycz@markallengroup.com). Get in touch to take part, to share your feedback and to say hello and welcome Adam to his new role as part of EYE!
